In support of our various efforts, we have developed the Onyx Data Management Toolkit, a combination of Agile Development principles, COTS Integration, and custom software, to deliver flexible, cost-effective solutions to a variety of Department of Defense, Intelligence Community, and Law Enforcement agencies.

Onyx Government Service is seeking a Sr. ETL Developer with data warehousing Cloud migration experience to support Federal data management and Advanced Analytics projects. This individual will be responsible for creating data warehouse structures and writing ETL procedures, querying databases, Data Quality assurance, and troubleshooting.

The Sr. ETL Developer will join our team as one of the senior developers for a data-warehousing project to solve business intelligence challenges. The position requires deep technical expertise in PL/SQL, SSIS, BI tools, ETL, and data profiling.

Previous consulting experience using an agile delivery methodology is a plus.

This is six-month contract (1099) position with potential to become permanent (W2).

• Design and develop ETL processes
• Convert existing PL/SQL procedures into SSIS packages
• Troubleshoot existing ETL solutions
• Query Oracle databases for data analysis and data quality assurance

Requirements:

• Security Clearance:
  Must possess active BI or NACLC Public Trust security clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree with 7 years of database (specifically ETL) development, or data processing/analytical experience or combination thereof.
• Strong SQL and PL/SQL skills
• Expertise with data warehouse designs and the Kimball dimensional model.
• Experience with writing complex SSIS transformations, reverse engineering from Oracle PL/SQL
• Experience with Oracle and Postgre

• Strong conceptual, analytical, and decision-making skills
• Ability to work as a collaborative team, mentoring and training the client on the various tools and techniques to build a complete data warehouse solution
• Experience with Jira in managing tasks and good understanding of Agile process
• Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, flexible environment, and take the initiative to learn new tools quickly
• Excellent innovation, interpersonal, and communication skills required.
• Must have good communication and writing skills.
• Familiarity with Gilab CI/CD Pipelines.
• Familiarity with SQL Server Agent orchestration framework.

• Experience in Tableau dashboard design and development
• SAS Enterprise Guide development
• Quality assurance and validation experience, specifically comparing multiple data sources for discrepancies and inconsistencies
