Cybersecurity, IT Project Manager
MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Technical Program Manager to join our team in Chantilly, VA
. This is an onsite position.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Lead and deliver technical projects in accordance with contract requirements and company policies, procedures, and guidelines. This role supports a large portfolio of IT and Cybersecurity teams and focuses on managing scope, schedule, cost, security, and quality to meet customer objectives.
Serve as the technical Project Manager across a portfolio of IT and cybersecurity projects, managing scope, schedule, cost, quality, and security in alignment with customer objectives.
Lead and coordinate agile IT and cybersecurity teams of approximately 80-100 FTEs delivering Cybersecurity, Security Engineering, Systems Engineering, Network Engineering, Systems Administration, and ITIL Service Transition services.
Lead or support IT technical design, implementation, operations, and cybersecurity incident response efforts, including management of a Security Operations Center (SOC) team.
Develop, maintain, and manage project schedules, agile task boards, metrics, and status reporting using tools such as MS Project, Jira, and similar platforms.
Serve as a trusted advisor to government stakeholders, providing guidance on cybersecurity policy, strategy, risk management, and continuous monitoring.
Identify program risks, analyze performance metrics, and present findings and recommendations to management to ensure alignment with customer guidelines.
Support personnel management and program growth activities for teams based in Springfield, VA, Washington, DC, Chantilly, VA and California, including timesheet approvals, performance evaluations, client relationship management, and proposal support for new and existing task orders.
Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years of relevant IT experience
5+ years of experience managing large IT Service Management contracts
Demonstrated knowledge of cybersecurity best practices, Incident Response, Risk Management Framework (RMF), and Continuous Monitoring
Experience managing IT and cybersecurity technical implementation projects from inception through completion
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
Masters degree
Agile certification
Knowledge of System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) phases and deliverables
Experience with Microsoft and/or VMware technologies, including Windows Server, Active Directory, SharePoint, Exchange, and Splunk
Experience planning, scheduling, and updating program activities using MS Project, Jira, or similar tools
Experience identifying schedule risks and performing schedule risk analysis
- Must have a current/active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility, adjudicated within the last six years
- The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations.
