Position: Software Developer with Security Clearance
Software Developer - Multiple Levels Chantilly, VA Active Top-Secret Clearance with SCI and CI Polygraph Required @Orchard is actively supporting a proposal expected to be awarded in Fall 2026 for a Virginia client in the Intelligence Sector. We are seeking individuals with the necessary skills, experience and clearance to sign a letter of intent to join the team once the program is awarded.

We are seeking Software Developers with a national space enterprise and ground systems engineering background to work with clients in supporting the future ground architecture. As a Software Developer, your responsibilities include.
* Serve as program support to the government Program Manager (PM) with responsibility for technical knowledge of the assigned teams and programs/projects
Provide technical guidance and recommendations related to the integration of National Systems-based capabilities
* Plan the design and maintenance of software applications, platforms, systems, and data repositories
* Evaluate and test new software programs
* Optimize software for supportability, portability, speed, and scalability
* Consult with mission specialists, engineers, security specialists, and other stakeholders
* Present new features to stakeholders and internal customers
* Support information assurance and RMF processes, and information systems security engineering
* Will support Agile-based program management and implementation of a model-based Systems Engineering approach
* Participate in IPT meetings and review process boards, to include but not limited to ERBs, CCBs, SRRs, CDRs, PDRs, and PMRs
* Support the PM in multiple areas, which include systems, mission, and enterprise engineering; program management; analytic support; technical analysis; testing;
Dev Sec Ops ; architecture; and customer outreach and support
* Serve as a technical expert in their assigned area
* Other responsibilities include administrative and technical support to the Government leadership team, internal cross-coordination, external mission partners, and other DoD/IC customers. Your background will include.
* Must have an active Top Secret/SCI clearance with a Counter-Intelligence Polygraph
* US Citizenship is required
* Possess strong software architecture, development, and production experience
* Experience with Programming languages, platforms, and architecture to develop applications and systems; cloud engineering; and data access and storage
* Demonstrated capabilities in software testing, improving, and maintaining software built by other engineers
* Experience in information assurance or information system security
* Experience working within Cloud hosting environments
* Ability to facilitate commonality within the enterprise by defining, architecting, and integrating a multi-INT, multi-sensor, and multi-nodal processing capability
* Ability to problem-solve in a rapidly changing environment and interface with the customer daily
* Track and respond to office tasking, build and present program briefings, and update project schedules and calendar

Preferred Qualifications .
* Familiarity with the IC and NRO enterprise architecture, DOD's space architecture, and public and private cloud environments
* Experience developing, editing, and updating software architecture and CONOPs documentation as the system mission model matures
* Familiarity with enforcing IT standards within an infrastructure and maintaining documentation of IT systems
* Knowledge of Electro-optical, RADAR, SIGINT, Communications, Mission Management, and Mission processing systems supporting a space and ground architecture
* Experience in generating and codifying inter-segment and inter-system interface requirements for major space mission systems
* Working knowledge of SAFe Agile or similar agile processes and JIRA and Confluence tools
* Certified in one or more of the following:
Dev Sec Ops , Certified Software Development Professional (CSDP), AWS, OMG Systems Modeler, Agile, Project Management, or MBSE
* Experience with RDNG/DOORs requirements database management/repository, Rhapsody, SysML applications, Confluence, Jira, or JSMART
* Understand how system requirements, design, analysis, verification and validation activities are enabled by MBSE across the digital thread (the engineering lifecycle)
* Be able to travel Compensation:
As there are several potential levels for this skillset within the program, compensation can range between $120,000 and $225,000. All employees will receive a generous benefits package:
