Senior Data Scientist – TS/SCI Clearance w/CI Poly Required Location

Chantilly, VA

Job Description

Leffler Consulting is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to join our team at an Intelligence Community agency in Chantilly, VA. The candidate will perform computational and statistical analyses, restructure complex and disparate data sources, extract insights from data, and build data visualization products. The position is on-site with the government customer and requires an active Top Secret/SCI clearance.

Duties
  • Provide data science and analytical support to improve access and extraction of knowledge from data sets, data preparation for analysis, and presentation/visualization to inform high-level decisions in the organization
  • Provide data science and data visualization services with a unified approach to collect, structure, store, index, analyze, model, visualize, communicate, and deliver actionable decision support data products
  • Establish and deliver a process to conduct requirements analysis of customer needs for rapid development and delivery of timely and innovative advanced data analytic products
  • Provide expert advice and solutions to migrate from data calls and static reports to data pipelines and interactive dashboards with emphasis on data dimensionality reduction to reduce complexity of data computations
  • Work with the Government to identify, develop, and implement innovative data science processes and techniques to enhance support to cost estimation, IPM (Integrated Performance Management), and ATA (Acquisition Technical Assistance) functions
  • Develop and train entry and mid-level level contractor analysts
  • Work independently or as a contractor team lead and conduct assessments on program cost, technical, and schedule baselines, identify key cost and technical risk areas, and translate the risk areas into program cost impacts
  • Interact with customers and colleagues expertly and effectively when resolving problems
  • Apply leadership skills and the ability to manage competing priorities, multiple tasks and work requirements
  • Apply highly effective customer service skills, and work effectively with teams to foster a collaborative work environment across the organization
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support corporate initiatives
Required Education
  • Master’s degree in engineering, operations research, mathematics, statistics, computer science, or a similar quantitative field. Years of experience may be considered in place of a master’s degree.
