Cloud Infrastructure Engineer The OpportunityEveryone is trying to "harness the cloud," but not everyone knows how. As a seasoned cloud computing infrastructure architect, you know how to take advantage of cloud capabilities. Here, you'll oversee a team of experienced professionals and use cutting‑edge enterprise cloud platforms to guide your clients as they modernize their IT infrastructure and meet their most challenging missions. This position is located in the Washington Metropolitan Area or Colorado Springs, CO.
ResponsibilitiesYou will collaborate closely with fellow architects and engineers specializing in Classified System Platforms to build cloud solutions components. You will broaden your experience within a Dev Ops framework to create and manage container apps and use products like Kubernetes to further the mission. Your role involves exploring different solutions, partnering with stakeholders, and leading your team to deliver the right technical solutions, whether modernizing legacy platforms or creating new ones.
Qualifications- Experience with cloud engineering, architecture, management, maintenance, and enhancement across enterprise environments.
- Experience working with Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Microsoft Azure supporting enterprise‑scale cloud architecture and platform transformation.
- Experience designing, engineering, and deploying cloud‑native and hybrid environments supporting mission and data workloads.
- Experience working with networking, security groups, IAM, routing, and policy management in relation to cloud resources across multiple operating systems, including UNIX, Linux, and Windows.
- Experience building and managing cloud environments across multiple impact levels, regions, and providers.
- Experience supporting DoD or IC cloud environments, security requirements, and certification frameworks.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), automation, and configuration management tools.
- TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph.
- High school diploma or GED.
- DoD 8570 certification such as Security+.
- Experience with CI/CD pipeline solutions such as Jenkins, Bamboo, Travis CI, and Git Lab.
- Experience with Kubernetes, containerization, and cloud platform services.
- Experience building cloud data plane and mission plane architectures.
- Knowledge of DoD accreditation and cloud authorization processes.
- Ability to work through challenging security requirements and maintain compliance in classified environments.
- Bachelor's degree.
- AWS or Azure certification.
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required.
CompensationThe projected compensation range for this position is $ to $ annualized USD. This estimate represents the typical salary range and is one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package.
