We are seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer to design, implement and manage secure cloud infrastructure in support of mission-critical operations. This role supports complex cloud environments with a strong focus on security monitoring, threat detection and cloud security best practices. The Sr. Cloud Engineer position leverages modern Dev Ops tools and practices while collaborating across teams to solve technical challenges. What you’ll be doing :- Support Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure oracle and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) cloud services and infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to specific cloud environments while implementing cloud security best practices.
- Leverage Azure data services, including Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Microsoft Defender and Microsoft Sentinel, to ensure security posture and compliance.
- Write and maintain automation scripts in Power Shell, Python or Azure Command-Line Interface (CLI) and execute them using Logic Apps and Azure Functions.
- Configure network security groups (NSGs), application gateways and other network controls to protect cloud resources.
- Manage cloud compute, storage, networking and database services while applying security compliance standards across the organization.
- Work with all stakeholders to ensure complete and functioning systems that meet all requirements.
- Cloud engineering and development in complex cloud environments.
- Cloud security monitoring, threat detection and cloud security best practices.
- Dev Ops tools and practices for designing and deploying cloud-based solutions.
- IaC, automation scripting and cloud template technologies.
- Bachelor’s degree or 4+ additional years of IT experience in lieu of a degree.
- 5+ years of experience in cloud engineering and/or development.
- DoD 8570 IAT Level 2 certification, such as Security+ or CCNA Security or the ability to obtain it within 6 months of hire.
- Experience designing and deploying cloud-based solutions using Dev Ops tools such as Azure Dev Ops, Jenkins, Git Lab or Docker.
- Experience with IaC tools like ARM templates, Terraform, Ansible or Bicep.
- Familiarity with cloud template technologies including Git Hub Enterprise and architecture frameworks such as TOGAF or Zachman.
- Experience automating workflows using scripting tools such as Power Shell, Bash, Python, YAML or JSON.
- Experience meeting security requirements in the Sponsor’s environment or similar complex environments.
- Proven ability to analyze complex requirements and translate them into clear, actionable tasks and processes through critical thinking.
- Applicants must currently hold and maintain an active TS/SCI clearance.
- Familiarity with container technologies such as Kubernetes and experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Understanding of Federal Information Processing Standards (FIPS)-199, National Institute of Standards and Technology Special Publication (NIST SP) 800-53, NIST SP 800-53A, NIST SP 800-37 and DoD Cloud Security Requirements Guide.
- Microsoft certifications such as Azure Administrator Associate, Azure Security Engineer Associate or Azure Solutions Architect Expert.
