Red Hat OpenShift Developer - TS​/SCI Polygraph

Job Overview

GDIT is looking for a Red Hat Open Shift Developer to support Government activities at Chantilly, VA. This position is eligible for a sign‑on bonus. The role requires US citizenship and a TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph. Salary range is $161,500 – $218,500.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, certificates or training, or work experience.

• 7+ years of related experience in software engineering with Kubernetes/Red Hat Open Shift  environments.

• Red Hat Open Shift Kubernetes essentials: pods, deployments, services, replica sets, configmaps/secrets, name spaces, ingress.
• YAML manifest authoring and kubectl commands.
• Persistent volumes (PV/PVC, CSI drivers), service discovery, OVN‑Kubernetes pod communication.
• Open Shift CLI commands: oc login, oc new‑project, oc new‑app, oc expose, oc rsh, oc logs, oc adm policy for RBAC.
• Application development: microservices in Java, Node.js, Python, Go; REST APIs; YAML for K8s resources.
• Web and client‑server programming with Java, Type Script/JavaScript, HTML, CSS;
  Spring Boot;
  Vue, React, or Angular.
• Cluster administration: installing, configuring, maintaining Open Shift 4.16+ clusters.
• Container/Pod management: deployment, scaling, management of containerized applications.
• MAS Operator lifecycle: understanding operators for MAS components.
• Automation with Bash or Ansible for Day‑2 operations.
• Security: RBAC roles, secrets, SCCs.
• Upgrade experience with Spring Boot & Hibernate/JPA.
• Experience with Linux/Windows systems and shell scripting.
• Build automation:
  Gradle, Maven, Jenkins.
• Web Sphere or Tomcat, Podman for rootless containers.
• Agile development:
  Jira, Confluence.
• Version control:
  Git (Git Hub or Git Lab).
• Customer security requirements, compliance tools, and processes.

• Red Hat Certified Cloud‑native Java Developer (EX378) or earlier EX283.
• Red Hat Certified Open Shift Administrator (EX280).
• Red Hat Certified Systems Administrator (RHSCA) for Linux.
• Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) or Certified Application Developer (CKAD).
