Cyber Security Engineer; Contingent Upon Award

The position is contingent upon contract award and, if awarded, will be onsite in Chantilly, VA. This Cyber Security Engineer will support the client’s portfolio of products that protect highly sensitive, co‑mingled data across all network fabrics.

• Assist with the Authorization & Assessment (A&A) process of all systems in the Sponsor's portfolio.
• Respond to computer network attacks, malicious code incidents, data spills, and other cyber incidents on Sponsor systems and networks.
• Track Plan of Action and Milestones (POMs) through closure and provide regular reporting.
• Act as a point of contact for IT operations on the Sponsor working group dealing with extremely sensitive data.
• Track and optimize cloud costs, developing cost models for IC and DoW partners.
• Support the Sponsor's technical forums and review boards.
• Review proposed technical solutions and architectures and provide findings.
• Research and provide whitepapers on potential solutions to the Sponsor's technical needs.
• Evaluate Cloud Service Provider offerings for use with highly sensitive data.
• Provide expertise on encryption techniques and products, recommending optimal solutions.
• Serve as the focal point for cyber security vulnerabilities.
• Assist external partners with adoption and use of the Sponsor's tools.

• Experience accrediting systems that handle extremely sensitive data.
• Experience accrediting systems on multiple network fabrics.
• Experience designing, developing, or maintaining systems that handle extremely sensitive data.
• Experience designing, developing, or maintaining systems on multiple network fabrics.
• Experience with Cloud Service Provider offerings, specifically AWS, Azure, and Oracle.
• Experience optimizing cloud‑hosted systems for cost and performance efficiencies.
• Experience designing, developing, or maintaining systems used globally.
• Experience with hybrid cloud architectures.
• Experience designing or maintaining on‑prem architectures.

• Experience on Service of Common Concern (SoCC) programs.
• Experience designing and standardizing Dev Ops processes.
• Experience with the Sponsor's suite of tools.
• Experience supporting IC and DoW programs.
• Experience with the Sponsor's Configuration Management Database (CMDB) processes and procedures.
• Experience with the Sponsor's system accreditation suite of tools.
