About the Role Redhorse transforms how government uses data and technology. This System Engineer role is critical to developing a new IT application automating data access requests, ensuring secure and efficient data handling within a sensitive environment. You will be instrumental in designing and implementing a system that manages Personally Identifiable Information (PII) and/or Protected Health Information (PHI), requiring a high degree of precision and responsibility.
Your work will directly improve the efficiency and security of data access workflows within Redhorse, impacting multiple clients and projects.
- Design systems handling and storing sensitive information like PII or HIPAA data.
- Develop business process workflows and automation technology.
- Design and develop data exchange interfaces.
- Ensure secure connection across system components and third‑party systems.
- Develop software and/or scripts to support the application’s functionality.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to implement and maintain the data access application.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues that arise.
- 3+ years of experience developing software and/or scripts.
- Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph.
- Experience with cloud‑based data platforms.
- Experience with Agile development methodologies.
- Familiarity with relevant security standards and compliance regulations (e.g., NIST, SOC
2). - Experience working with third‑party APIs and integrations.
- Experience with data modeling and database design.
