Description:
We are seeking a Network Engineer responsible for configuration, implementation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of a critical operational network. Provides an engineering resource to support data communications and related applications requirements. Provides administrative support of installed systems/networks. Responsible for planning and implementing the necessary hardware, software and telecommunications equipment to maintain and/or enhance the organization’s networks. Evaluates vendor products and recommends purchases.
Recommends and implements network policies and procedures and ensures adherence to security procedures.
- Assist in installations, configurations, upgrades, and maintenance of network equipment (switches, firewalls, and load balancers)
- Monitor network performance and troubleshooting
- Document network configurations and diagrams
- Provide technical support to system operators
- Assist in implementing STIG compliance
- TCP/IP Model
- Routing
- Switching
- Multi-chassis groups – Multi-Link Aggregation Domain or Switch Aggregation Groups
- Link Aggregation Control Protocol (802.3ad)
- VLANs and VLAN Trunking (802.1q & 802.3ac)

- Bachelor’s in Computer Science or Information Technology, 10+ years of experience
- Master’s in Computer Science or Information Technology, 5+ years of experience
Must currently possess a TS/SCI w/CI polygraph.
