This is a contingent position based upon contract award. K  is seeking a highly motivated and career-oriented Conferencing Manager to join our team supporting a government client with locations in the Northern Virginia Area.

Key Responsibilities:

* Provide oversight to the conferencing team for planning, organizing and executing events such as conferences, training and meetings.

* Fully coordinate and collaborate on all tasks, activities, requirements and issues as they pertain to the support of the Customer's conferencing and training events.

* Develop conferencing event plans and schedules, and define and document the implementation of requirements

* Manage customer expectations with proactive, consistent and transparent communication.

* Oversee all aspects of event planning and execution, including catering, venue selection, logistics, AV requirements, and scheduling.

* Work closely with event point of contact, stakeholders, food service, logistics, security, and vendors to ensure the event objectives are met.

* Develop the event budget in accordance with established guidelines, ensuring all expenses are accounted for, and provide to appropriate government POCs for approval. Manage approved budget throughout the event.

* Conduct post event evaluations with POC, attendees and event support teams to assess the event's success and identify areas for improvement. Qualifications

Required:

* Clearance Requirement: TS/SCI with polygraph

* Five (5) years of proven work experience as an Event Planner or Conference Manager.

* Knowledge of KPIs and conferencing software for event management.

* Personnel management experience with excellent oral and written communication skills.

* Ability to interpret, capture, and manage customer requirements and expectations
Desired:
* Four (4) year degree in marketing, hospitality management or related field is preferred. Ready to Make a Difference?
