Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking a candidate to join our diverse team of engineers, system administrators, and operators as a Principal Cyber Systems Engineer or Senior Principal Cyber Systems Engineer professional in Chantilly, VA.

The successful candidate will be expected to monitor, maintain, and provide Tier-2 and Tier-3 support of a mission critical network infrastructure, collect data for analysis, perform network upgrades, and be able to produce documentation and diagrams of the work they perform. The work is unique, challenging and rewarding. Most of all, its work that makes a difference. The successful candidate should thrive in a fast-paced, quick response, work environment with high expectations, diverse assignments, and possess the ability to communicate and collaborate with multiple teams across all technical levels.

The candidate must be able to lead the way to maintain and develop creative solutions to complex problems. Responsibilities:
* Administer and maintain Windows and Linux server environments

* Perform monthly patching, vulnerability remediation, and maintenance activities

* Support and maintain existing enterprise infrastructure, including virtualization, logging, authentication, and security systems

* Monitor system health, performance, and security events to ensure operational availability

* Provide Tier 2 / Tier 3 support for operators and junior administrators

* Troubleshoot complex issues across systems, network, security, and application layers

* Maintain Active Directory, account provisioning, group policy, DNS, certificates, and access controls

* Support authentication services including RADIUS and MFA platforms

* Maintain enterprise logging, monitoring, and alerting solutions such as Elastic Stack

* Support virtual infrastructure administration using VMware vSphere

* Develop and update SOPs, technical documentation, and implementation procedures

* Prepare technical change documentation for Change Control Board (CCB) review

* Support system hardening, compliance, and vulnerability scanning using tools such as Nessus and Trellix ePolicy Orchestrator

* Assist the ISSM with system testing, use case validation, and security compliance efforts

* Evaluate and implement new technical solutions in response to emerging mission or cybersecurity requirements (for example, Zero Trust Architecture initiatives)

* Support limited travel (5-10%) for system installs, upgrades, or remote site support Senior Principal Cyber Systems Engineer

Basic Qualifications:

* Active TS/SCI is required to start; with willingness to receive a polygraph

* 8 Years with Bachelor's Degree; 6 Years with Masters; 4 Years with PhD; OR 12 years of experience in lieu of a degree.
