Test Technician

Job Summary

Mercury Systems specializes in secure mission‑critical technology for the military and defense. We are seeking a Test Technician who enjoys investigating and troubleshooting on hardware servers. This is a great opportunity to contribute to the future growth of the corporation.

• Perform troubleshooting analysis on advanced, ruggedized computer configurations.
• Perform physical server repairs.
• Follow build manuals, written instructions, defined best practices, and guidelines for quality assurance in wiring, cabling, and system configuration.
• Complete required information for hardware configuration, troubleshooting, and defective equipment, and update the repair status accurately and in detail within ERP.
• Complete final computer testing as determined by internal scripts.
• Assume final responsibility for the quality and quantity of servers repaired.
• Transport computers to and from stations per quality and safety guidelines.

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Typically requires 1‑year related experience.
• Experience with troubleshooting.
• Experience testing ruggedized computing systems.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong ability to follow written, verbal, and visual work instructions.
• Ability to work with minimum supervision.
• Ability to effectively work under pressure in a multitasking environment.
• Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism under pressure.
• Basic reading, writing in English, and strong arithmetic skills.

• Basic knowledge of testing in a Linux environment.
• Associate’s degree.
• Computer certifications.

Annual salary ranges vary by location:

• $38,300 – $76,600 for in‑office or hybrid employees in FL, GA, IN, AZ, AL, MD, TX, and all remote employees.
• $42,900 – $85,800 for in‑office or hybrid employees in VA, CA, NH, MA.
• $45,200 – $90,400 for in‑office or hybrid employees in NJ.
