Oracle Database Engineer

As an Oracle Database Engineer, you will design and deliver end‑to‑end geospatial database solutions in a fast, agile environment. You will develop systems from vision to production, ensuring high availability, performance, and data integrity.

You Have:

• 5+ years of software experience with a cloud‑first development approach
• 4+ years of enterprise data engineering development, including geospatial data
• 3+ years of experience with OCI services and cloud‑native architecture patterns (Compute, Autonomous Database, Exadata, security policies, network security)
• 3+ years of Infrastructure as Code experience (Terraform or Cloud Formation)
• Experience with ETL/ELT pipeline development using OCI services
• Experience with data lakes, data warehousing, and analytics platforms
• Experience developing and deploying production geospatial solutions from concept to O&M
• Active TS/SCI clearance and willingness to take a polygraph exam
• Bachelor's degree

Nice If You Have:

• Experience with Authority to Operate (ATO) processes and security documentation
• Experience with data migration from AWS to OCI and OCI AI offerings
• Experience with database administration and optimization, including PostgreSQL with geospatial workloads
• Experience designing and optimizing spatial database schemas and indexing strategies, and complex geospatial queries at scale
• Experience leading technical initiatives in large‑scale environments
• Experience with system design, scalability, and reliability
• Experience developing dashboards and monitoring systems for streaming services
• OCI or other professional certifications (OCI Architect, OCI Developer, Security+, CISSP)
• IAT Level II Certification such as Security+ or CISSP

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance is required.

Salary range: $86,800.00 to $ (annualized USD). Full‑time employees working at least 20 hours a week are eligible for the full benefits package.

  May require occasional in‑person work at a Booz Allen or customer facility.
• Hybrid:
  Expected to work from a Booz Allen facility frequently; may also need to visit a customer facility.
