Build the secure, scalable infrastructure that powers mission success. NS2 Mission is seeking a Platform Engineer to support our team in Chantilly, VA
. In this role, you'll design, implement, and maintain the cloud infrastructure and platform services that enable mission-critical applications to operate securely and efficiently. Working closely with development and operations teams, you'll help automate deployments, optimize system performance, and drive modern Dev Sec Ops practices across the environment.

Key Responsibilities- Design, implement, and maintain secure, scalable platform infrastructure supporting mission applications.
- Manage and optimize Kubernetes environments and containerized workloads.
- Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform.
- Automate system configuration and deployments using Ansible and Puppet.
- Administer and support Red Hat Linux environments.
- Deploy and manage Kubernetes applications using Helm.
- Build, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines to support software delivery.
- Manage AWS Identity and Access Management (IAM) resources and implement security best practices.
- Collaborate with software engineers, Dev Sec Ops teams, and system administrators to improve platform reliability, performance, and scalability.
- Troubleshoot infrastructure issues and continuously improve platform operations through automation and monitoring.
- Experience administering and supporting Kubernetes environments.
- Hands-on experience implementing Dev Sec Ops principles and best practices.
- Experience developing Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
- Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible and Puppet.
- Strong experience administering Red Hat Linux environments.
- Experience managing Helm charts and Kubernetes application deployments.
- Experience with container technologies and container lifecycle management.
- Experience developing and supporting CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience managing AWS IAM and cloud security best practices.
- Kubernetes, AWS, or Dev Sec Ops certifications.
- Experience supporting large-scale cloud or enterprise infrastructure environments.
- Familiarity with cloud monitoring, logging, and performance optimization tools.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to collaborate across cross-functional engineering teams.
TS/SCI with an FSP
