Data Center Technician - Chantilly

• Maintain data center operations to ensure service availability and reliability.
• Conduct hardware and network diagnostics and repairs.
• Perform root cause analysis of hardware and software failures.
• Train internal teams.
• Develop documentation.
• Provide technical support to data center teams.
• Create scripts to update server and networking hardware.
• Maintain inventory.
• Assemble and install equipment.
• Perform maintenance of test and tool equipment.
• Travel up to 10% of the time to other data center locations as required by business needs.
• Respond to on‑site equipment failures or emergencies within 60 minutes while on scheduled on‑call rotation.

• Computer hardware experience (troubleshooting, assembling).
• Linux operating system experience.
• Ability to transport and position equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to remain stationary (sitting or standing) for extended periods to perform diagnostic and repair tasks.
• Ability to maneuver in cramped or elevated spaces, such as under‑floor areas or on ladders, to access server racks.
• Fine‑motor skill proficiency for handling small hardware components and cables.
• Availability to work a flexible schedule within a 24/7 environment, including rotating on‑call shifts.
• Excellent time management, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and react quickly to issues.
• Capability to perform essential job duties in a climate‑controlled data center with temperatures ranging from 60°F to 90°F.

• Hands‑on or education‑based experience in computer hardware troubleshooting and repair, data center operations, computer networking, scripting (Python, Bash, or similar), and Cisco IOS and/or Juniper JunOS.
• Associate’s degree or equivalent experience in an IT‑related field.
