Overview
Software and Systems Engineer, Mid.
We are looking for a systems engineer with strong technical and big-picture thinking to support the warfighter. You will design cloud-based software systems, modernize data processing in the Cloud, and help translate real-world needs into engineering solutions. The role combines technical expertise with system processes, documentation, strategic growth, risk management, and efficient software product delivery.
Responsibilities- Design cloud-based software systems in support of mission objectives.
- Evaluate and modernize data processing in the Cloud.
- Develop and support software systems while gaining experience in mission data transformation.
- Merge system processes and documentation with strategic growth and risk management.
- Translate real-world needs into technical specifications and deliver customer-focused engineering solutions.
- Support missions with detailed, well-written, government-accepted documentation and requirements traceability.
- Experience with systems engineering and the software development life cycle.
- Experience with Agile methodology, requirements definition, Scrum, contract data requirements list creation, editing, and delivery, system documentation, and customer support.
- Ability to function on a team and fully engage in Agile planning and support.
- Active TS/SCI clearance; willingness to take a polygraph exam.
- Bachelor's degree.
- Ability to obtain Security+ CE, SSCP, CCNA-Security, or GSEC certification within 6 months of start date.
- Experience with Cloud software development, requirements traceability, government contract data requirements lists, risk management processes or best practices, or software backend testing.
- Knowledge of Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence) and Visio graphic design.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, verbal and written communication skills.
- Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance is required.
Projected compensation range: $69,400.00 to $ (annualized USD).
