Open Are You a Project Manager Who’s Passionate About Survey Analytics and Data-Driven Results? QSSHire is partnering with a cleared client to find an experienced Software Developer (Systems Software) – SME to support an enterprise language services program responsible for delivering secure, cloud-native infrastructure and application capabilities. This role is ideal for a senior Dev Ops-focused software engineer with extensive experience designing, implementing, and managing Kubernetes-based platforms within AWS environments.
The selected candidate will lead the deployment and optimization of containerized applications, automate infrastructure using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC), and develop scalable cloud-native solutions that improve operational efficiency, system resilience, and application performance. Working alongside software developers, cloud engineers, and infrastructure teams, the Software Developer will help modernize enterprise services by leveraging Kubernetes, Terraform, Helm, and AWS technologies to deliver secure, highly available mission capabilities.
In This Role, You’ll:
• Design, implement, and maintain Kubernetes-based infrastructure supporting enterprise language service applications.
• Deploy, manage, and optimize containerized applications within cloud-native environments.
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform to automate cloud resource provisioning and lifecycle management.
• Create, manage, and optimize Helm charts to simplify Kubernetes application deployment, upgrades, and configuration management.
• Design and implement scalable, highly available AWS cloud architectures supporting enterprise applications.
• Automate system administration, deployment, monitoring, and operational processes using Bash scripting and Dev Ops best practices.
• Configure and maintain Kubernetes clusters, name spaces, networking, storage, and workload orchestration.
• Collaborate with software development teams to integrate applications into Kubernetes and cloud-native environments.
• Optimize containerized workloads for performance, scalability, reliability, and security.
• Support CI/CD pipeline integration and automated deployment strategies.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure, application, and container platform issues across development, testing, and production environments.
• Monitor cloud infrastructure and application performance while implementing improvements to increase system reliability and operational efficiency.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, deployment procedures, architecture diagrams, and operational runbooks.
• Participate in architecture planning, infrastructure modernization, and continuous improvement initiatives supporting enterprise language services. You’ll Succeed Here If You Have:
• Active TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph (FSP).
• Extensive experience administering and managing Kubernetes container orchestration platforms.
• Experience deploying, scaling, securing, and maintaining Kubernetes workloads and clusters.
• Strong knowledge of Helm for Kubernetes application packaging, deployment, and lifecycle management.
• Extensive experience developing and maintaining Terraform Infrastructure-as-Code solutions.
• Hands-on experience designing and supporting AWS cloud environments, including core infrastructure and cloud-native services.
• Strong scripting skills using Bash to automate infrastructure management, deployments, and operational processes.
• Experience supporting containerized applications and cloud-native architectures.
• Strong understanding of Dev Ops methodologies, infrastructure automation, and modern software delivery practices.
• Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline. Bonus Points If You…
