Northrop Grumman's Corporate Chief Information & Digital Office (CIDO) is seeking a Principal Software Engineer to support the Engineering & Manufacturing Solutions (EMS) organization. The selected candidate will support engineering tools in multi-sector enterprise environments (unclassified and classified). The position will deploy, support, customize, and maintain the suite of Commercial and Open-Source applications used by Software and Systems Engineering.
The ideal candidate will be with in driving distance to a Northrop Grumman office in Florida, Maryland, or Virginia.
Key Responsibilities:
* Configure, deploy, and administer commercial and open-source SW Factory software.
* Develop code to aid in administration of the SW Factory.
* Provide end user support to SW Factory suite of applications.
* Monitor, address, and resolve production SW Factory application incidents, reports.
* Interfacing, collaboratively, with the other development and administration teams inside of Corporate.
* Maintain strong expertise and knowledge of current and emerging technologies and products.
Basic Qualifications:
* 5 Years of relevant experience with a Bachelors in Science; 3 Years with Masters; 1 Year with PhD.
* Candidates must have the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret level security clearance (or higher) to be considered.
* Candidates must have the ability to obtain, and maintain, access to Special Programs as a condition of continued employment.
* Must have experience with both Windows and Linux operating systems.
* Ability to work well in a virtual team environment, with team members located throughout the country.
* Excellent oral and written communication skills.
* Ability to multitask and juggle more than one task at a time.
* Self-starter with the ability to independently resolve issues and deliver results.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Server/Client Software installation experience.
* Understanding of core IT competencies (Networking, Servers, DBs, Apps).
* Experience programing in scripting languages (Particularly Python).
* Experience in deploying applications via Kubernetes.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Strong technical (administrative is preferred) foundation in several of the following technologies:
* Jenkins, Docker, Git Hub, Gitlab, Key Cloak, Sonar Qube, Nexus Repository Lifecycle, Grafana, Atlassian (Crowd, Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, Fisheye and Crucible).
* Administration experience with Postgres.
* Development experience with Service Now.
* Candidates have a current U.S. Government Secret level security clearance (or higher).
* CompTIA Security+ certification.
* AWS console administration experience.
