Job Overview
Network Deploy Technician in AWS Infrastructure Services. The role supports the design, planning, delivery and operation of AWS global infrastructure, ensuring continuous access to the cloud for customers. Responsibilities include driving stability and sustainability of next‑generation networks, scaling support across data center locations, assisting capacity management, and automating network operations.
Key Responsibilities- Manage work and priorities through ticketing systems and workflows to complete customer requests and projects.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to remove project obstacles and facilitate smooth project execution.
- Troubleshoot networking, routing and interconnectivity issues, including patch panels and patch cords.
- Specify power and cooling requirements and ensure hardware racking/stacking for new equipment.
- Participate in migration, basic configuration and rollout of new or upgraded hardware.
- Support several data center locations and provide day‑to‑day assistance with capacity management.
- Work closely with internal customers and external vendors to enable efficient project delivery.
- Establish and follow best practices, refine operational procedures, and contribute to network automation and scaling initiatives.
- Regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds; participate in group lifts for 41+ pounds.
- Work in an environment that operates 24/7, including primary responder rotation and after‑hours support as needed.
- Work in cramped, elevated, or noisy environments.
- Bend, lift, stretch, reach, stand and walk for up to 8+ hours a day.
- Ascend and descend ladders, stairs and gangways safely without limitation.
- 2+ years of computer hardware troubleshooting and repair experience.
- 1+ year of computer networking experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Industry standard certifications (BICSI, CompTIA, CCENT, Network+).
- Experience with network troubleshooting tools such as VFLs, OTDR, and power meters.
- Knowledge of major command‑line protocols (Cisco IOS, JunOS, GNU/Linux) and core networking protocols (BGP, OSPF).
