Cloud Solutions Architect

Job Description

We're seeking a Cloud Solutions Architect to join our team!

• Demonstrated experience in system engineering, managing, and optimizing complex IT systems and infrastructure, particularly within cloud environments such as Azure and AWS
• Demonstrated experience architecting and deploying solutions within cloud platforms, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security
• Demonstrated experience in system security, including implementation of security measures and conducting comprehensive risk assessments
• Demonstrated experience securing systems in compliance with established guidelines, e.g., NIST standards, including experience with compliance and accreditation processes such as Authority to Operate (ATO) and Authorization to Deploy (ATD)
• Demonstrated experience in data management, including secure data transfer and ingestion, as well as handling large-scale data sets while maintaining high standards of data integrity and security
• Demonstrated experience using data orchestration and lifecycle management tools to optimize data processes and integration across various platforms
• Demonstrated experience presenting and translating complex technical information into clear and concise language for diverse audiences
• Demonstrated experience or familiarity with Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) concepts, demonstrating exposure to related integration methodologies in systems engineering
• Demonstrated experience developing and maintaining secure communications channels and network infrastructure to support mission‑critical operations
• Experience contributing directly to advancing the Sponsor's strategic objectives in the cyber domain by focusing on critical disciplines such as cloud engineering, data lifecycle management and optimization, and strategic contracting
• Experience collaborating with various teams to develop, maintain, and optimize secure and efficient systems that support the expertise‑driven mission of the Sponsor's office
• Experience designing and implementing complex system architectures and infrastructure that support the collection, processing, and analysis of cyber intelligence data to meet organizational objectives
• Experience ensuring the scalability, reliability, and performance of systems critical to the Sponsor's cyber mission
• Experience identifying potential vulnerabilities and performing comprehensive risk assessments and vulnerability testing to implement security measures across Sponsor computing environments
• Experience providing expert technical guidance on system security, compliance, accreditation, and best practices for secure data transfer and ingestion
• Experience recommending and configuring tools for data lifecycle management, ensuring the integrity, secure transfer, and accessibility of data across all stages of the data lifecycle
• Experience providing expertise in the implementation and optimization of data orchestration platforms that align with the Sponsor's mission requirements
• Experience assessing, integrating, and managing resources in cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS) to support organizational objectives and enhance cloud computing capabilities
• Experience performing both global and local administrative functions within cloud infrastructure to facilitate access to services and data, ensuring these align with Sponsor's mission‑critical needs
• Experience making recommendations and implementing cloud‑based solutions to support the secure, effective operation of critical cyber systems
• Experience using the following Required Tools and Technologies;
  Cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS), Security assessment tools, Data orchestration platforms, System architectural design software (e.g., architectural modeling tools), Software for managing, planning, and documenting projects (e.g., Jira, Confluence, SharePoint)
• Experience researching or implementing, where possible and at Sponsor direction, Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) integration into systems engineering, application, or tool development
