MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Principal Cyber Security Engineer to join our team in Chantilly, VA. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* Manage and lead the resources across the program areas to meet mission and vision requirements in the most efficient manner possible
* Manage and track the tasks, projects, and priorities across multiple program areas
* Create and present quality slide decks based on program areas for senior leadership presentation
* Assist in the creation of fully developed project schedules utilizing the Enterprise Scheduling Service (ESS) platform built on Microsoft Project
* Assist with creating quality briefing decks, to include detailed cost estimates, based on projects for senior leadership presentation
* Coordinate the engineering, integration, and administration functions required to deliver capabilities and services to the enterprise
* Ensure that all aspects of the projects are completed and delivered according to the implementation plan and schedule
* Manage incident/request ticket queues through Service Now and various ticket platforms
* Coordinate and assign tasks in aiding the project engineers in testing and implementing future enhancements
Minimum Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree or 4+ years of additional experience in lieu of degree.
* 7+ years of cyber engineering or relevant cybersecurity experience.
* Experience managing or leading small to medium sized teams supporting engineering operations
* Experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence, MS Project, or similar project management and collaboration platforms
* Proven experience as a Technical Project Manager or Engineering Manager with a willingness to directly contribute to technical execution when needed to help the team unblock challenges
* Ability to demonstrate understanding and appropriate application of DoD/IC policy and technical security guidance to information systems
* Must hold an active IAT Level II certification (GSEC, Security+, SSCP, or CCNA-Security) or have the ability to obtain it within 6 months of hire.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Specific knowledge of security technologies such as vulnerability management, intrusion detection/prevention, log monitoring, and endpoint protection
* Understanding or ability to learn the latest security principles, techniques, and protocols
* Ability to function in a fast-paced environment and effectively manage multiple tasks simultaneously, coordinating resources and ensuring scheduled goals are met
* HBSS Administrator 201, 301, 501 ePO Certificate
* Risk Management Framework knowledge and experience
* Ability to effectively interact with various levels of senior management as necessary to clearly articulate ideas for executive level and technical staff consumption Clearance Requirements:
* Must have a current and active TS/SCI with Polygraph.
Physical Requirements:
* The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
* The person in this position occasionally moves about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers.
