The Test Automation Engineer will lead automated testing for complex enterprise, cloud, and hybrid capabilities supporting a secure government environment. The role is responsible for designing scalable automation frameworks, integrating testing into CI/CD workflows, analyzing results, and ensuring system quality through disciplined functional, regression, integration, performance, and load testing.
Key Responsibilities- Design, develop, maintain, and execute automated test solutions for complex cloud, infrastructure, and enterprise application environments.
- Build and enhance reusable automation frameworks supporting functional, regression, integration, performance, and load testing.
- Develop automated test scripts using tools and languages such as Selenium, Cucumber, Bash, Power Shell, Ansible, and Groovy/Jenkins.
- Analyze automated test results, isolate defects, identify root causes, and partner with engineering teams to drive resolution.
- Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and establish repeatable quality gates for iterative releases.
- Develop test plans, test cases, traceability, test evidence, and technical documentation suitable for secure government environments.
- Decompose testing work into Agile/Jira stories and participate in sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Apply security requirements and engineering rigor throughout the testing lifecycle.
- 10+ years of relevant professional experience.
- Bachelor's degree (STEM degree not required for Test Engineer positions).
- Current DoD 8140 qualification/certification appropriate to the assigned DCWF work role and proficiency level. Acceptable examples for this position may include:
CompTIA Security+ CE, CompTIA CySA+, CompTIA SecurityX (formerly CASP+), ISC2 SSCP, ISC2 CISSP. Final acceptability is subject to the current DoD 8140 Qualification Matrix and prime contractor/customer work-role requirements. - Current and active TS/SCI clearance with CI Polygraph. Mandatory at time of submission.
- Demonstrated expertise as a Test Automation Engineer delivering similar scope projects.
- Experience developing scripts using selenium, cucumber, bash, Power Shell, Ansible, and groovy (Jenkins).
- Expertise with Test Automation Frameworks:
Linear Frameworks, Modular Frameworks, Data Driven Frameworks, Behavior Driven Frameworks (Would be a bonus for future AI development). - An understanding of Load Testing versus Functional Testing with a demonstrated ability to analyze test results.
- Understanding of all security related requirements in secure environments.
- Familiar with Agile Methodologies and ability to accurately decompose tasks for Jira stories.
- Expert troubleshooting and solutioning skills.
- Strong technical documentation skills.
- Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).
- Experience with other Cloud environments (Azure, Google, Oracle, IBM).
- Experience with IBM Enterprise Lifecycle Management, Team Work Cloud/Cameo experience, Microsoft Project and/or Tableau.
- Familiarity with reviewing and responding to system alerts from visualization applications such as Grafana.
- Understanding of working in Service Now Assist with leading and overseeing a total system perspective including technical understanding of relationships, dependencies and requirements of cloud and hybrid services, infrastructure and security domains.

Work is performed in support of a secure U.S. Government program and may require on-site access to controlled facilities, customer systems, and classified environments. The successful candidate must maintain all required clearance, access, cybersecurity certification, and program eligibility requirements throughout the assignment.
