Leidos Corporation is seeking a Material Program Manager to support a program in the West Michigan Area (WMA). The role involves inventory control support and analysis for all material requirements, using problem‑solving techniques to address unique inventory requests that impact critical support requirements. The position is based in Springfield, VA.

Responsibilities
  • Work with the Program team to ensure a streamlined procurement process of materials against program requirements, including using a credit card for micro purchases.
  • Generate material requirements and provide support for acquisition plans from start to finish.
  • Work across multiple government and Leidos systems in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Maintain reports and monitor material movement throughout manufacturing and inventory sequences.
  • Coordinate forecasts, workload, expediting, and acquisition priority with commodity/category team leadership.
  • Provide advice to programs on proper acquisition routes that best benefit the program.
  • Analyze material requirements for leveraging opportunities, supplier recommendations, and acquisition planning.
  • Engage supply chain (vendor to manufacturing) to determine optimal acquisition strategy.
  • Manage production and delivery schedules.
Qualifications
  • BA degree and 4‑8 years of relevant experience or MA degree and 2‑6 years of experience.
  • Experience in procurement and/or a combination of certifications, training, education, or military experience can be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Active Top Secret/SCI with Polygraph clearance required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; basic Excel skills (create workbooks, formulas, formatting, sorting, filtering).
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and use multiple systems simultaneously.
  • Attention to detail and strong organization and communication skills.
  • Prior inventory control experience.
  • Effective communication of processes and procedures to customer base.
  • Outstanding customer service skills to meet high demand requirements.
  • Ability to travel between local sites as needed.
  • Understanding of technical concepts and application to daily procurement and program support requirements.
  • Self‑starter who can establish priorities, resolve immediate issues, and coordinate with program manager on complex problems.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to maintain effective relationships with team members and customers.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills to compose and deliver responses to customers’ questions clearly and concisely.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in a similar role delivering hardware and software on time, interacting with key suppliers, managing financial impacts, and auditing existing hardware and software inventories.
  • Experience supporting procurement system compliance, materials management, prime contract flowdowns, supplier quality, and supplier teaming to achieve successful results.
  • Experience with price analysis methodologies.
  • Experience with Commercial Supplier Agreements (CSAs) and End User License Agreements (EULAs).
  • Experience with IBM Maximo or Deltek.
