Job Overview

The Leidos Corporation is seeking a Material Program Manager to support a program in the WMA. The individual will provide inventory control support and analysis for all material requirements, using problem‑solving techniques to address unique inventory requests that impact critical support requirements. This role is located in Springfield, VA.

• Work with the Program team to ensure a streamlined procurement process of materials against program requirements, including using a credit card for micro purchases.
• Generate material requirements and provide the necessary support of acquisition plans from start to finish.
• Work across multiple government and Leidos systems in a fast‑paced environment.
• Maintain reports and monitor material movement throughout manufacturing and inventory sequences.
• Coordinate forecasts, workload, expediting, and acquisition priority with commodity/category team leadership.
• Provide advice to programs on proper routes to acquire materials that best benefit the program.
• Analyze material requirements for leveraging opportunities, supplier recommendations, and acquisition planning.
• Engage the supply chain (vendor to manufacturing) to determine optimal acquisition strategy.
• Manage production and delivery schedules.

• BA degree and 4‑8 years of relevant experience, or a Master’s degree with 2‑6 years of relevant experience.
• Procurement experience, or a combination of certifications, training, education, or military experience considered in lieu of a degree.
• Active Top Secret/SCI with Polygraph clearance.
• Microsoft Office knowledge and skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work across multiple systems simultaneously.
• Attention to detail.
• Good organization and communication skills.
• Basic Excel experience (creating workbooks, formulas, formatting, sorting, and filtering).
• Prior inventory control experience.
• Ability to effectively communicate processes and procedures to a customer base.
• Outstanding customer‑service skills to meet high‑demand requirements.
• Ability to travel between local sites on occasion to coordinate activities.
• Understanding of technical concepts to apply them to daily procurement and program support requirements.
• Self‑starter who can establish priorities, resolve immediate issues, and coordinate with a program manager on complex problems.
• Strong interpersonal skills to maintain effective working relationships with team members and customers.
• Strong oral and written communication skills to compose and deliver clear and concise responses to customers’ questions.

• Experience in a similar role executing on‑time deliveries of hardware and software; interacting with key suppliers; dealing with financial impacts of supplier decisions on programs; and managing, tracking, and auditing existing hardware and software inventories.
• Experience supporting procurement‑system compliance, materials management, prime contract flowdowns, supplier quality, and supplier teaming to achieve successful results.
• Experience working with price‑analysis methodologies.
• Experience with Commercial Supplier Agreements (CSAs) and End User License Agreements (EULAs).
• Experience with IBM Maximo or Deltek.
