Northrop Grumman is seeking a Logistics Engineer / Principal Logistics Engineer to join Mission Systems Discipline Engineering Organization. This position will be located in Chantilly, VA.
Primary responsibilities of a candidate will include:
- SharePoint Administration, Development, and Data Automation
- Hardware and Material Tracking
- Shipments and Logistics Execution
- Procurement and RMA Support
- Process Improvement
Basic Qualifications for Logistics Engineer (T2)
- Bachelor's degree with 2 years of relevant experience; 0 years with a Master's degree; additional relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Ability and willingness to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite).
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel, and a strong aptitude for technology driven solutions such as collaboration site design, configuration, and support.
- Experience building, administering, and/or using SharePoint-based lists, workflows, or applications to support engineering, logistics, or operations.
- Excellent communication skills with both internal and external customers.
- Detail oriented and able to follow and improve defined processes.
- Experience in the Logistician/Logistics Engineering field which includes working with US Government supply chain processes and shipping Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) in accordance with U.S. government import/export requirements.
- Must be able to move and position objects weighing 30–50 lb.
Basic Qualifications for Principal Logistics Engineer (T3)
- Bachelor's degree with 5 years of relevant experience; 3 years with a Master's degree; 1 year with a PhD
- Ability and willingness to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite).
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel, and a strong aptitude for technology driven solutions such as collaboration site design, configuration, and support.
- Demonstrated experience developing and/or administering SharePoint or similar platforms to support engineering/logistics workflows (e.g., list/database design, workflows, dashboards, or integrated apps).
- Excellent communication skills with both internal and external customers, including the ability to translate technical and field data into clear logistics/maintenance insights.
- Detail oriented and able to follow and refine defined processes.
- Experience in the Logistician/Logistics Engineering field which includes working with US Government supply chain processes and shipping Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) in accordance with U.S. government import/export requirements.
- Must be able to move and position objects weighing 30–50 lb.
Preferred Qualifications for Both Levels
- Active TS/SCI Security Clearance.
- Experience with Share Point
- Proficient with collaboration systems with workflow applications, list databases, Power Apps/Automate
- Experience with Jira or other Agile process/methodology tools.
- Experience with Solid Works PDM or other Product Data Management tools.
- Familiarity with processing Return Material Authorization (RMA) and shipments of repairable assets to Source of Repair and/or Government disposal.
- Experience performing failure, maintenance, spares, or reliability analysis in support of fielded systems.
