SummaryThe Data Center Technician Lead plays a crucial role in maintaining the operational excellence and cleanliness standards of our controlled environments. This position is not only about keeping areas visually clean but ensuring that all surfaces, including ceilings, walls, equipment, and floors, are meticulously maintained to meet the strict guidelines of cleanliness required in a data center setting.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities- Perform cleaning operations under strict guidelines. Continually monitor the cleaning procedures to ensure all cleanings are completed promptly and correctly
- Responsible for participating in continuous training:
Data Center, technical skills, safety, performance improvement - Normal duties include but are not limited to micro-cleaning all surfaces within the general & critical environment including ceilings, walls, equipment, and floors
- The ability to follow customer standard operating procedures in precise detail including documentation
- Identify deviations in cleaning and follow through on corrective and preventative actions (variances)
- Review change to SOP/SOW documentation and re-train
- Assist in the cross training of other Controlled Contamination Services personnel
- Utilization of cleaning equipment & tools
- Responsible for cleaning critical spaces
- May be asked to cover for, or support Data Center Operations Manager
- All other duties as defined by supervisor
- Are familiar with cleaning chemical components and safety requirements (including SDS)
- Fully comprehend Scope of Work & Standard Operating Procedures
- Maintain confidentiality
- Pass a background check and I-9
- Able to perform basic maintenance & operation of cleaning equipment (floor scrubbers, etc.)
- Read, Write, Speak & Comprehend conversational English
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's
- Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions
- Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations

- The Weight or Force requirement in this position is:
Up to 40 pounds
- This position requires you to have close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less), and color vision (ability to identify and distinguish colors)
- Depth perception (three-dimensional vision, ability to judge distances and spatial relationships)
- Ability to adjust focus (ability to adjust the eye to bring an object into sharp focus)
