Position Summary

The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing warehouse staff operations, equipment, and inventory. This includes dispatching and assigning equipment (MEI and rentals) and tools to crews per job requirements, scheduling equipment repairs, and completing all paperwork related to equipment maintenance, issues, repairs, and permit ordering.

Responsibilities
  • Controls all incoming and outgoing stored inventory.
  • Constantly organizes warehouses to maximize space.
  • Releases loads in MEI Portal.
  • Maintains inventory records and reports.
  • Schedules all incoming loads and assigns appropriate appointment times.
  • Accurately updates shipment reports in a timely manner.
  • Ensures all required procedures are followed and documentation meets MEI standards (e.g., pre‑tasks, inspections, daily worksheets).
  • Maintains warehouse condition consistent with company standards.
  • Drives performance and develops the warehouse team using the Continuous Improvement process.
  • Interacts with customers, drivers, vendors, auditors, and visitors in a manner consistent with MEI’s mission and policies.
  • Facilitates employee training.
  • Produces monthly reporting.
  • Prepares, organizes, and distributes all required paperwork to appropriate groups (crew, accounting, operations management) related to the job, change orders, crew and equipment assignments, safety, JHA’s, and equipment repairs & inspections.
  • Tracks and resolves issues and repairs of company‑owned equipment.
  • Performs data entry into software applications for labor and equipment.
  • Reviews, edits, and adjusts labor hours in the electronic timekeeping system (ADP) and obtains final approval from the manager.
  • Updates dispatch job board daily by adding and cancelling pending and confirmed jobs.
  • Coordinates, tracks, and schedules drop‑off and pick‑up of all equipment and rentals related to jobs, including equipment from other MRC locations.
  • Communicates daily with job foreman and drivers for efficiency of scheduling and dispatch.
  • Assumes other responsibilities as assigned by the manager.
Minimum Qualifications
  • HS diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • Minimum 2 years of warehouse supervisory experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of dispatching or comparable logistics coordination experience.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Industrial machinery equipment operations experience.
  • Logistics experience interfacing with transportation companies.
  • Familiarity with OSHA DOT regulations.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

This role is highly physical and hands‑on. A Warehouse Supervisor must be able to perform general physical activities requiring considerable use of arms and legs, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling or moving materials up to 50 pounds. The position may involve working at varying heights, near moving machinery, in both indoor temperature‑controlled environments and outdoor or non‑temperature‑controlled settings across all weather types and uneven terrain.
