Senior Program​/Project Manager

Overview

Apogee Global RMS is seeking a Senior Program / Project Manager to lead complex, multi‑stakeholder public‑sector initiatives across federal, IC, and DoD portfolios. This role is built for PMs who operate with executive discipline, understand federal delivery environments, and can drive outcomes across technical, operational, and mission‑aligned work streams.

You will serve as the connective tissue between leadership, engineering, vendors, and mission owners — ensuring programs stay aligned, risks stay visible, and delivery stays on track.

• Full lifecycle program and project management across federal and IC/DoD initiatives
• Development and execution of program plans, schedules, budgets, and performance metrics
• Stakeholder alignment across government sponsors, technical teams, and vendor partners
• Risk, issue, and dependency management with clear escalation pathways
• Governance reporting, executive briefings, and contract‑aligned deliverable oversight
• Coordination of cross‑functional teams in high‑visibility, high‑trust environments
• Process improvement, workflow optimization, and operational discipline across the program

Certifications:

• PMP
• PgMP, ITIL 4, PMI‑ACP, CSM, Lean Six Sigma Green Belt are strong differentiators

Experience Requirements:

• Proven success managing federal or public‑sector programs
• Experience leading multi‑vendor, multi‑discipline teams
• Strong command of program governance, reporting, and contract compliance
• Ability to translate technical work streams into clear, executive‑ready narratives
• Demonstrated ability to manage risk, drive accountability, and maintain delivery momentum
• Exceptional communication skills with senior government stakeholders

• Must reside in the NCR (DC/MD/VA)
• Secret minimum; TS preferred for IC/DoD‑heavy portfolios

• Operates with structure, clarity, and executive presence
• Thrives in complex, politically sensitive, or mission‑critical environments
• Can manage ambiguity while maintaining disciplined delivery
• Build trust quickly with government sponsors and technical teams
• Drives outcomes without friction and communicates with precision
