Overview

The Water Mitigation Project Manager reports to the NRT Mitigation and Environmental Services Manager with accountability for providing excellent service for those who have been victims of disaster and for restoring property and lives with a servant’s heart. The National Response Team (NRT) Water Mitigation Project Manager is responsible for Water Mitigation and Emergency Services projects nationally. The primary responsibilities will be project management, technician management, and labor force management. This is a full‑time on‑call role that requires the PM to work in the field and in the office for customers and national accounts in need of restoration services during catastrophic events nationally.

This position works under the direction of the NRT Mitigation and Environmental Services Manager.

Job Responsibilities for the Water Mitigation Project Manager
  • Respond to all Mitigation & Emergency Services jobs with service issues
  • Hire and train Mitigation & Emergency Service Technicians
  • Supervise Mitigation & Emergency Service Technicians
  • Coordinate responses to new jobs
  • Scope new projects for estimating purposes
  • Manage projects/jobs
  • Estimate work using Xactimate, Symbility, or other estimating platforms
  • Track and monitor online control points (dates/times) via internal and external websites
  • Communicate with insurance adjusters and other decision makers
  • Negotiate estimates with insurance adjusters, third‑party administrators, and/or third‑party reviewers as applicable
  • Handle project budgeting & invoicing
  • Collect on invoiced work
  • Manage and monitor sub‑contractor work and approve/deny contractor invoices
  • Find and develop new sub‑contractor relationships as necessary
  • Conduct sales and marketing efforts in branch market to generate new leads and relationships
  • All other duties as assigned
Project Management
  • Meet changing needs within timeline and budget
  • Identify and manage resources and assign as necessary
  • Meet project deadlines on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Review and inspect production on regular basis to ensure standards are being met
  • Minimize Jenkins’ exposure to risk on projects
  • Manage budgets and track project expenses
  • Understand, interpret and relay building plans
  • Manage inspections process to ensure compliance with local/national codes and other building details
Qualifications and Skills
  • Education:

    Associates degree (A.A or

    A.S) or equivalent from a two‑year college or technical school with a record of strong academic achievement
  • Experience:

    At least 1 to 2 years of industry‑related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Possess and maintain IICRC certifications in WRT, CDS, and AMRT
Travel Requirements

The NRT Mitigation Project Manager may require extensive travel in response to CAT events, large commercial projects, as well as business development efforts. This includes spending time on site managing large projects throughout the country, or other scenarios or opportunities deemed necessary and beneficial by your NRT Mitigation and Environmental Manager.

Language Skills

The Water Mitigation Project Manager must possess the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Demonstrate the ability to write routine reports, correspondence, and the ability to speak effectively to customers and/or employees of organization in the English language.

Technical Skills
