Policy Team Lead
K ’s National Security Solutions team provides high‑end engineering and advanced technology solutions to customers in the intelligence and national security communities. In this contingent role, the Policy Team Lead will lead and manage a team of contractors and subcontractors, directing their efforts and overseeing contractual, technical, engineering, programming, maintenance, and administrative activities. The team lead will monitor progress, brief leadership, and serve as the primary point of contact with the government customer on technical execution and project issues.
PrimaryResponsibilities
- Manage, plan and direct the execution of the team’s contractual, technical, engineering, programming, maintenance, and administrative efforts.
- Brief leadership on program progress, status, and milestone achievement.
- Serve as the primary interface with the customer on technical and project issues.
- Maintain awareness of the customer’s mission and any potential impacts to that mission.
- Current and active Top Secret / SCI security clearance.
- Four years of experience as a project manager.
- Experience providing technical support materials for senior leaders, such as strategic papers, options analyses, and executive briefings.
- Experience overseeing or guiding portfolio/program performance and resource planning.
- Experience with acquisition/procurement strategy, including vendor management and enterprise licensing concepts.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, data analytics, software engineering, or a related technical field and 8 years of experience.
- Experience translating mission priorities into actionable IT roadmaps, investment plans, and measurable outcomes related to counterintelligence and security missions.
- Experience with AI architecture patterns (model hosting, vector search/RAG, data pipelines, APIs, orchestration).
- Experience briefing senior leaders and driving cross‑team delivery.
$159,100 - $194,400 (Washington DC Metro Area only). Rate based on knowledge, skills, abilities, and experience with internal parity considered.
