Night Shift Document Scanning Operator

CTG is hiring a Scanning Operator to support our client’s Digital Imaging Center in Chantilly, VA.

Chantilly, VA

Schedule:

Monday - Saturday | 10:00 PM – 7:00 AM (overnights)

Pay: $20.17/hour

Duration:
Ongoing contract

• Validate and reconcile boxes and files received for processing
• Prepare documents for scanning by removing staples, clips, rubber bands, and other bindings
• Scan box barcodes using a handheld scanner
• Insert separator sheets to organize documents during scanning
• Identify oversized documents for wide-format scanning
• Identify undersized or exception items and escalade issues to the lead when needed

• Operate high-speed scanners to convert paper documents into digital files
• Perform visual quality checks to ensure images meet required standards
• Convert documents, microfilm, and microfiche into digital formats
• Index scanned images according to customer naming conventions and project guidelines

• Conduct quality checks on your work to ensure accuracy and compliance with standards
• Follow all safety and security procedures
• Work both independently and as part of a team
• Assist with backfile tasks when team members are absent
• Support other tasks as assigned by the lead or manager

• Previous document scanning or print production experience preferred
• Comfortable working with high-speed scanning equipment
• Strong attention to detail and quality control
• Ability to follow detailed procedures and meet productivity expectations
• Reliable and able to work overnight shifts

This role does not include paid vacation or holiday pay. Time off may be taken as unpaid leave.
