Production Supervisor (Manufacturing Operations Coordinator) (Chantilly, VA area)

Job Summary:

As a Production Supervisor (and also serving as a Manufacturing Operations Coordinator), you will assist the Sr. Manager of Operations and Factory Operations Team in the manufacturing, assembly, and test of electro-mechanical assemblies. You will work directly with the Factory Operations Team in the execution of production tasks in accordance with defined production schedules and in accordance with documented policies, procedures, and the organization’s ISO
9001/AS9100 registered Quality Management System. Key Skills and Experience the candidate should have:
* Manufacturing / Assembly experience.
* Experience with identifying and resolving bottlenecks and constraints in the manufacturing operations and production processes.
* RCCA / RCA (Root Cause Analysis) knowledge a PLUS
* Familiar with, and knowledge of, Microsoft office products and MES, MRP, ERP tools. (MES stands for Manufacturing Execution System — it's a control system for monitoring and managing work-in-process on the factory floor.) Job Responsibility:

- Assisting in the daily execution of the Build Plan for Factory Operations.

- Active role in Daily Tiered Accountability / Management.

- Identifying, communicating, and resolving any bottlenecks and / or constraints in the overall Factory Operations Value Stream.

- Monitoring Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) and metrics and working Factory Operations stakeholders to develop and implement "Return to Green" plans as needed - Conducting audits and cycle counts of Work-in-Progress (WIP) on the shop floor - Manage stock of production consumable / KANBAN items - Entry of purchase requisitions for shop supplies, services, and other items for Factory Operations - Ensure employees comply with all procedures and processes specified in the QMS (Quality Management System).

- Assist with / coordinate with Quality Assurance on preventative maintenance and calibration tasks for identified tools, equipment, fixtures, etc. Develop, maintain, and update process documentation, forms, records, reports, etc.

- Maintain logs, paperwork, and forms consistent with company policy and practices.

- Assists with / may execute tasks in various areas of Factory Operations: inventory stocking, job kitting, assembly, test, inspection, packaging, etc. as needed.

- Assisting with Root Cause Analysis (RCA) / Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) as needed.

- Other duties as assigned by management. Required

Qualification:

- 1 - 3 Years of experience in a manufacturing / assembly / factory operations role - Experience working with an ISO
9001 and / or AS9100 registered QMS - Familiarity with PC software (Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook).

- Familiarity with MES, ERP, MRP software solutions - Ability to manage multiple, conflicting and changing priorities to meet client deadlines - Ability to demonstrate, or develop, an understanding of Lean Manufacturing.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to work with a diverse work force.

- Ability to multi-task and to execute under pressure.

Preferred Qualifications:

- 1+ Year of manufacturing leadership experience as a Lead, Supervisor, or Manager.

- Experience with MRP and factory control tools.

- Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt / Green Belt - Knowledge of RCA/RCCA Methodologies - 5 Why's, Fishbone, 8D - Knowledge of IPC-610, IPC-620, IPC-JSTD-001 - Knowledge of Microsoft Power
