As a Staff Operations & Training Deputy IPT located in Colorado Springs, CO or Chantilly, VA , you’ll be a linchpin in missions of paramount importance, defining the art of the possible from day one.

This position is 100% onsite and cannot accommodate telecommute work.

This position has the opportunity to work a 9/80 schedule, with every other Friday off, depending on program needs.

Job responsibilities could include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Managing multiple teams and ensuring goal setting and tasks are in-line with IPT vision

• Resolving blockers and personnel issues

• Ensuring resource allocations are sufficient for tasking and identifying areas for efficiency or enhancement

• Setting and maintaining high team morale across the IPT

• Working with customer representatives to address concerns and facilitate conversations on topics of interest

• Oversee special projects and upgrade efforts for the teams

• Formalize and enforce process structure and ensure work scope is bound within SOW to prevent scope growth

• Identify areas for business growth and cultivate a strong working relationship with teams and customers

This position is contingent upon the candidate obtaining final clearances and program access(es) within a reasonable period of time as determined by the company.

• Bachelor’s degree with 12 years of professional experience – OR – Master’s degree with 10 years of professional experience – OR – PhD with 7 years of professional experience. Will consider an additional 4+ years of experience in lieu of a degree.

• Requires an active U.S. Government Top-Secret [TS] security clearance and Sensitive Compartmented Information (
  SCI) [TS/SCI] at time of application, current and within scope, with the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval/access within a reasonable amount of time [US citizenship required]

• Demonstrated leadership experience managing multiple teams

• Must have excellent communication skills and be capable of presenting technical concepts to a diverse group of engineers.

• Experience working with geographically dispersed teams

• Experience with Spacecraft Operations

• Experience with developing and providing training related to on-orbit spacecraft operations

• Experience with on-orbit spacecraft anomaly resolution and root cause corrective actions investigations

• Past military service experience, preferably in Space Force or Air Force

• Experience with spacecraft-related training programs
