Certified Nursing Assistant; Cna

Overview

XCELHome Health is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for travel or local assignments. The CNA provides basic nursing care and assistance with daily living activities under the supervision of a Licensed Nurse (RN or LPN). The CNA supports the physical comfort, safety, and well‑being of clients in their homes or care settings.

Location(s): CHANTILLY, VA

• Reports to the supervising RN/LPN and Agency Manager/Administrator.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current certification as a Nursing Assistant in the state.
• Successful completion of state‑approved CNA training and competency evaluation.
• Must pass background check and drug screen.
• Physical and mental ability to perform assigned duties.

• Assist clients with personal care (bathing, grooming, toileting, dressing).
• Provide support with mobility, transfers, and ambulation.
• Take and record vital signs as directed.
• Observe and report changes in client conditions to the nurse.
• Assist with meals, feeding, and hydration.
• Perform light housekeeping related to client care.
• Provide companionship and emotional support.
• Maintain confidentiality and respect client rights.
• Participate in required in‑service education.
