Role Description

The Electrical QA/QC Inspector is a full‑time, on‑site role based in Chantilly, VA. This position is responsible for performing electrical inspections on construction and infrastructure projects to verify compliance with plans, specifications, codes, and quality standards. Day‑to‑day activities include reviewing drawings and submittals, conducting field inspections of electrical installations, documenting findings and test results, and preparing inspection reports. The role collaborates closely with project managers, contractors, and engineers to identify deficiencies, recommend corrective actions, and support continuous improvement of quality processes.

The inspector also participates in progress meetings, ensures adherence to safety requirements, and supports project close‑out with accurate quality records.

Qualifications
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems, codes, and standards; experience interpreting construction drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
  • Demonstrated experience in QA/QC inspections, field testing, and documentation for electrical work on construction or infrastructure projects.
  • Proficiency in using inspection tools, test equipment, and basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office, electronic reporting systems).
  • Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to identify nonconformities and propose practical corrective actions.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work professionally with contractors, engineers, and client representatives on‑site.
  • Knowledge of construction safety practices and willingness to adhere to all site safety protocols and requirements.
  • Relevant industry certifications (e.g., journeyman or master electrician, NICET, or similar) are highly beneficial.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or an associate’s/bachelor’s degree in electrical, engineering technology, or related field preferred.
  • Previous experience in transportation, utilities, or infrastructure projects within the Mid‑Atlantic region is a plus.
