Construction Quality Control Manager (CQCM)

Job Description

Lead all project quality control activities in accordance with USACE, EM 385-1-1, and contract requirements. Develop, implement, and maintain the project Quality Control Plan (QCP) and associated documentation. Conduct preparatory, initial, and follow-up inspections for all Definable Features of Work (DFOW). Manage submittals, RFIs, material certifications, testing reports, and project quality records.

Responsibilities

+ Verify construction activities comply with plans, specifications, approved submittals, and federal standards.

+ Coordinate and document quality testing, inspections, commissioning, and deficiency resolution.

+ Lead weekly QC meetings with project staff, subcontractors, and USACE representatives.

+ Prepare and submit daily quality control reports utilizing RMS and other required government platforms.

+ Monitor subcontractor performance and enforce compliance with project quality standards and contract requirements.

Essential Skills

+ Current USACE Construction Quality Management (CQM-C) certification.

+ Strong knowledge of federal construction procedures and documentation.

+ Proficiency with RMS and blueprint reading.

+ Demonstrated experience managing three-phase inspections and project closeout activities.

Skills & Qualifications

+ 5+ years of construction quality control experience on federal projects (USACE, NAVFAC, GSA, DoD).

Work Environment

The position is based at Patrick Space Force Base. The role requires adherence to federal construction standards and involves working closely with both subcontractors and USACE representatives. Familiarity with site safety standards, including OSHA regulations, is essential.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chantilly, VA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $65.00/hr.
