Position Details

Job Title: Quality Engineer

Job Type: Full-Time Consultant (12-Month Assignment)

Location: Hazelwood, MO

Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Pay Rate: Starting at $63.20 per hour

Make an Impact Where Quality Matters Most

As a Quality Engineer, you'll work at the center of engineering, manufacturing, and operations teams to identify quality issues early, implement corrective actions, and improve processes across a diverse portfolio of aerospace support equipment. Your expertise will help ensure customer commitments are met while supporting products used in manufacturing environments, flight line operations, maintenance activities, and testing applications.

This is a high-visibility role that directly influences product quality, operational success, and customer satisfaction.

What You'll Do Quality Assurance & Continuous Improvement
  • Collaborate across engineering, manufacturing, and program teams to proactively identify quality concerns.
  • Lead root cause investigations and implement effective corrective and preventive actions.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance product quality and operational performance.
Problem Solving & Analysis
  • Investigate hardware quality issues and identify opportunities for process improvement.
  • Analyze trends, performance metrics, and quality data to support decision-making.
  • Develop and implement solutions that reduce risk and improve reliability.
Cross-Functional Leadership
  • Partner with stakeholders across multiple organizations to ensure quality requirements are met.
  • Support communication between engineering, production, suppliers, and customers.
  • Influence quality-focused decision-making throughout the product lifecycle.
Product & Program Support
  • Support a wide range of aerospace support equipment, including:
  • Test equipment and diagnostic systems
  • Ground support equipment
  • Hoists, lifts, slings, and generators
  • Structural and composite repair kits
  • Manufacturing and production support systems
  • Ensure products meet customer requirements, regulatory standards, and quality expectations.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in:
  • Engineering
  • Computer Science
  • Mathematics
  • Physics
  • Chemistry
  • Or a related technical discipline
  • Minimum 10 years of experience as a Quality Engineer
    .
  • Strong knowledge of quality systems, corrective actions, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Proven ability to collaborate across functions and influence quality outcomes.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 10+ years of Quality Engineering experience within the aerospace industry.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience working with DCMA
    .
  • Master's degree or PhD in a technical discipline.
  • Experience supporting highly regulated manufacturing or aerospace environments.
  • Knowledge of quality standards, inspections, audits, and compliance processes.
