Grill Cook

Job Summary

We have an opening for full‑ and part‑time Grill Cook positions at National Air and Space Hazy, 14390 Air and Space Museum Parkway, Chantilly, VA 20151. This role requires previous grill cooking experience.

Location:

National Air and Space Hazy, Chantilly, VA.

Schedule:

Full or part time; days may vary from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Weekend availability is required.

Pay range: $18.00 to $20.00 per hour.

• Takes orders and prepares items requiring short preparation; completes orders from steam tables and serves customers at multiple stations.
• Serves customers efficiently and friendly, ensuring food is at correct temperature, attractive, and tasty; tastes all prepared food items.
• Uses established ticket‑collection procedures during service and maintains records from area worked.
• Follows approved recipes and production standards to ensure quality, serving temperatures, and portion control.
• Carries pans, kettles, trays to and from workstations, stove, refrigerator according to safety standards.
• Stores foods in designated areas with appropriate wrapping, dating, and rotation procedures.
• Cleans, sanitizes, and maintains work areas, equipment, and utensils to meet sanitation standards.
• Resolves customer concerns and reports relevant information to supervisor.
• Attends in‑service and safety meetings.
• Maintains good working relationships with coworkers, customers, administrators, and managers.
• Performs job safely while maintaining a clean, safe work environment.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Previous grill cooking experience required.

• Use of medium‑weight cut gloves, oven mitts, fryer gloves, steamer gloves, slip‑resistant shoes, and proper lifting techniques as required.
