Commissary Prep Cook

Job Summary

Our upscale casual seafood restaurant is seeking a skilled Prep Cook to join our team. As a Prep Cook, you will be responsible for preparing seafood, vegetables, sauces, and other items from scratch. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a professional kitchen, a passion for food, and a strong commitment to quality. Candidate will ensure consistency and quality of all products.

This position is available only at our Commissary kitchen located in Sterling, VA.

• Prepare a variety of sauces, seasonings, desserts, etc. from scratch
• Ensure all items are prepared according to our recipes and standards of quality
• Keep the kitchen area clean and organized at all times
• Monitor food inventory and order supplies as needed

• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least 2 years of experience working in a professional kitchen
• Strong knowledge of seafood preparation and cooking techniques
  
  Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds

• Experience working in an upscale casual restaurant environment
• Knowledge of seafood sustainability practices
