What You’ll Do
- Stock shelves with products accurately and efficiently.
- Rotate items to ensure freshness and proper dates.
- Break down deliveries and organize inventory in the backroom.
- Maintain clean, organized aisles and storage areas.
- Follow safety and food handling procedures.
- Work collaboratively with the overnight team.
The physical demands of this work are classified as medium to heavy. Work includes walking, standing for up to 4 hours without a break, kneeling, squatting, frequent heavy lifting, shelving of product, repetitive hand and arm movements, bending, and reaching, including reaching and lifting above shoulder height, and climbing with the use of ladders, along with continuous interaction with customers and coworkers.
The average weight range of items lifted is 8–32 pounds with occasional lifting of greater than 50 pounds. Upper extremity repetition is moderately high and trunk movement involves moderately high twisting, bending, and pivoting. The work environment is indoors with exposure to cold (33°–55°) and freezing (-20°–20°) temperatures. The employee may receive assistance with heavy items if available. May be exposed to various allergens.
Tools and Equipment
Milk crates, dollies, box cutter, hand/power jack, walkie reach/hi‑lo, compactor, baler, and u‑cart.
Qualifications- Collective customer service experience, internally or externally, preferably in a food service, grocery, or retail setting.
- Experience working overnight hours.
