Overview
The Bulk Account Merchandiser (BAM) is responsible for selling, ordering and presenting products. The BAM collaborates with customers to generate accurate product orders, ensures commercial plans are executed across their account base, and merchandises products using safe handling techniques and quality guidelines.
Responsibilities- Manages, sells, and executes for an assigned group of customers on daily routes and generates sales orders based on delivery frequency to support daily operations and contribute to revenue, volume and gross profit.
- Executes applicable promotions and new products based on target lists, LOS initiatives, marketing promotions, Point-of-Sale materials, and commercial plans to achieve high execution scores.
- Fills, merchandises, and rotates products on display and shelves according to procedures and programs.
- Organizes and maintains back room by stacking and arranging product by package and flavor, and manages returns of pallets, damaged or expired product.
- Creates and distributes point-of-sale materials; rotates products and ensures proper operation of Fastlane merchandisers and vendors.
- Fosters business relationships with store personnel through follow-up on requests, pricing, programs, and new opportunities.
- Identifies and communicates competitive issues or market activities that could impact the business and performs duties in a safe manner.
- Effective communication skills including listening, speaking, and writing.
- Customer service experience preferred in a retail setting.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment (lifting up to 50 lbs repeatedly).
- Critical thinking skills.
- Secondary education beyond high school preferred.
- High initiative and willingness to learn; career-minded and competitive.
- Valid in-state driver’s license.
- Excellent driving history.
- Proof of insurance to verify current liability coverage (no less than $50,000 per person / $100,000 per accident) and property damage with a deductible of $500 or less, effective from first day of employment.
