Position: Operations Security Specialist (OSS) (S) TBD *Contingent Upon Award * WPS Admin

Operations Security Specialist (OSS) (S) Responsibilities:

  • Perform duties within the tactical operations center (TOC).
  • Monitor incident and threat reporting, and appropriately call for deployment of the appropriate response team(s) (e.g., Quick Response Force, Emergency Response Team, Explosive Ordnance Disposal, etc.).
  • Operate communications equipment – monitor and relay radio traffic, effectively controlling the network. Communicate with entities outside of the network with a variety of voice and text‑based communications technology including local cell phone, regional and global satellite phone, tactical military radio, and UHF/VHF radio.
  • Prepare weekly and/or daily reports, as requested by supervisory chain‑of‑command.
  • Maintain a watch activity record.
    • Qualifications:
  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Must possess one of the following:
    • A minimum of three (3) years of experience working in any of the following:
    • Tactical Operations Center
    • Intelligence analysis
    • Watch center
    • Command post
    • Police/Fire/Rescue dispatch (not 911)
    • Marine Security Guard
    • Military Police / Desk Sergeant
  • A minimum of one (1) year of experience as a Shift Leader, Complex Supervisor, or Site Supervisor on WPS III or any of its predecessor contracts within the area of responsibility.

    • Upon bio approval and before beginning work on the contract, the OSS shall:

  • Attend and successfully complete the NPSS training course, as outlined in WPS III IDIQ, Attachment 2, Training.
  • Obtain and maintain a Personnel Security Clearance as identified in the TO.
  • Possess no impediments to traveling overseas to and within countries that are considered dangerous or unhealthy in general, or to the country or countries assigned in the applicable TO.
