Physical Security Program Manager, Data Center Security - AMER EAST

The AWS Data Center Security team is looking for a creative, innovative, results-oriented program manager in the Chantilly, VA area to lead security and security-systems projects and programs in the data center environment. The candidate will help design, install, and evolve physical security systems and programs including intrusion detection, access control, CCTV, screening, and emergency response.

• Program Management for physical security systems related to new construction, expansion, and retrofit projects.
• Review of physical security project lifecycle management including bid packages, specifications, drawings, code compliance, vendor management, budget, change orders, and close-out documentation.
• Apply contemporary knowledge of emerging physical security technologies to assess their applicability within the AWS physical security program.
• Provide subject-matter expert support for leadership to make strategic decisions regarding technology and procedure.
• Balance performance metrics such as vendor service delivery performance, spend versus budget variance, cost reduction goals, post-installation defect rates, and program analysis.
• Manage vendors for onboarding, RFQ, bid, contract, QA/QC, and support processes.
• Effectively manage multi-million dollar budgets for infrastructure projects and initiatives.
• Collaborate across teams and provide support for global initiatives.

• High school diploma, or equivalent.
• 5+ years’ experience in physical security project management.
• 5+ years’ experience in Security Operations in technology, manufacturing, or similar industries, including access control systems, CCTV, and defense in depth strategies.

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a related field.
• Experience communicating technical concepts to non-technical audiences or in similar environments.
• Experience building cross-functional partnerships and influencing stakeholders across the organization without a direct reporting relationship.
• Experience delivering physical security projects or programs within an enterprise setting.
• Background in Physical Security Design, Security Systems Deployment, Physical Security Operations, Security Architecture, or Construction Management.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and/or physical security design tools.
• Certifications such as PSP, CPP, PMP, or training in Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED). Experience or certification with Lenel Access Control System.
