As a  Security Officer Armed Enhanced Part Time Perimeter  in  Chantilly, VA , this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.
Pay Rate: $18.88 / Hour

Day  Time      Tue  08:00 AM - 08:00 PM
How This Role Works:
Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”):  You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program:  In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.
This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.
Responsibilities:
Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or first responders as needed.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations, remaining aware of activity that could help to deter unauthorized access and/or policy violations.
Monitor entrances, restricted areas, and high-traffic locations, verifying access permissions and reporting unusual activity, hazards, and/or maintenance concerns to the appropriate personnel.
Support healthcare operations by assisting with de-escalation, access control, and incident response while following post orders and Allied Universal standards for armed posts.

Minimum Requirements:

Possess at least 2 years of security-related experience.
Possess a valid armed guard card and/or license.
Be at least 21 years of age.
Possess a valid DCJS license for Virginia only.
CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
