Action Officer (Intermediate) will provide Director’s Action Group (DAG) support in accordance with established organization/office policies, regulations, and procedures.
Primary Responsibilities- Perform and maintain DAG support functions including recognition programs, training, and security.
- Manage Customer Tracking Information and Enterprise Response (TIER) actions.
- Manage Customer correspondence handbook.
- Analyze and assign or perform actions as appropriate.
- Coordinate responses and assess accuracy prior to senior management review.
- Manage and execute the action tracking process; develop standard operating procedures and serve as facilitator for user requirements.
- Monitor progress on actions, generate metrics to demonstrate accountability for meeting deadlines and quality expectations; prepare periodic reports on action status and keep leadership aware of late, pending, and new actions.
- Disseminate policy and legislative changes to appropriate parties internal to the Customer.
- Draft, proofread, edit and provide final review of internal and external correspondence.
- Coordinate and maintain presentations for audiences up to the Customer level; maintain a quality control process for all presentations.
- Participate in and lead DAG related meetings.
- Participate in internal committees, Integrated Process Teams (IPT), working groups and task forces.
- Manage records generated during the execution of the Directorate’s projects and programs in accordance with Federal laws and regulations, as well as Customer Directives and Instructions.
- Assist with the delivery of various courses including TIER, Action Officer, and Customer Correspondence courses.
- Active Top Secret / Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance with adjudicated polygraph.
- Bachelor’s Degree in a technical or business‑related field (advanced degree preferred).
- 10+ years of experience within any Government or target 5 years within IC or DoD, or associate’s degree with 10+ years within IC or DoD.
- Demonstrated experience in federal acquisitions, Department of Defense (DoD) or Intelligence Community (IC) budget and finance processes, and national security policy.
- Demonstrated experience in systems engineering or project/program management.
- Demonstrated experience working with senior executives at multiple organizational levels.
- Demonstrated experience using Microsoft Office and standard computer applications.
- Demonstrated experience adapting to a rapidly changing work environment while maintaining flexibility and versatility.
- Demonstrated experience fostering solid relationships that promote cooperation and communicate expectations.
- Demonstrated experience analyzing situations and making well‑informed decisions.
- Demonstrated experience communicating effectively and concisely using a variety of styles and techniques appropriate to the audience.
- Demonstrated experience mentoring, delivering one‑on‑one training, or facilitating training courses.
$150,300 - $183,600 (Virginia only). The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.
