Action Officer

K  is seeking an Action Officer to provide Director's Action Group (DAG) support in accordance with established organization/office policies, regulations, and procedures in Chantilly, VA. The Action Officer directs and oversees the receipt, tasking, tracking and closure of all internal and external tasks; and manages the action tracking system. The Action Officer establishes and maintains effective working relationships with customers and other stakeholders of the Directorate/Office both internally and externally.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform and maintain DAG support functions to include calendar management, executive communications, recognition programs, training, travel, security
  • Draft, proofread, edit and provide final review of internal and external correspondence
  • Coordinate and maintain presentations for audiences up to the Customer level; maintain a quality control process for all presentations
  • Schedule and provide support for internal engineering committees, Integrated Process Teams (IPT), working groups and task forces
  • Support Customer Tracking Information and Enterprise Response (TIER) actions for supported office:
    • Analyze TIERs to route for appropriate completion
    • Monitor and reporting completion progress for managed TIERs
    • Coordinate responses and assess for accuracy
    • Provide consolidated responses to Senior Management for review
    • Complete assigned TIERs using provided instructions
    • Develop written Standard Operating Procedures for the TIER process
    • Generate TIER and related metrics
    • Prepare periodic reports, as required
    • Provide status updates on new, pending, and late actions
  • Coordinate responses and assess for accuracy prior to senior management review
  • Manage and execute the action tracking process; develop standard operating procedures and serve as facilitator for user requirements
  • Monitor progress on actions, generate metrics to demonstrate accountability for meeting deadlines and quality expectations; prepare periodic rep
    011s on action status and keep leadership aware of late, pending and new actions
  • Disseminate policy and legislative changes to appropriate parties internal to the Customer
  • Participate in DAG related meetings
  • Manage records generated during the execution of the Directorates' projects and programs in accordance with Federal laws and regulations, as well as Customer Directives and Instructions.
  • Create and assist in the preparation and development of reports, briefings and presentations for various audiences
  • Assist with event planning, attend and facilitate meetings, workshops, conferences and working group sessions, track status and milestones, and provide summary of meetings and meeting minutes when requested.
Basic Compensation

$123,000 - $153,000 USD annually

Required Qualifications
  • Current TS/SCI Poly clearance is required for this position
  • 10+ years of experience within any Government OR target 5 years within IC or DoD
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in one or more of the following areas: federal acquisitions, Department of Defense (DoD) or the /Intelligence Community (IC) budget & finance processes, and National Security policy
