Telecommunication Technician​/Electrical Installer

Convergint is looking for a full‑time, enthusiastic, results‑driven and forward‑thinking Electrical Installer/Foreman to join our amazing culture. In this role you will perform all duties pertaining to the installation of structured wiring for various low‑voltage systems, including cable infrastructures for security systems, intercommunication systems, AV systems, CTV, nurse call systems and tele‑data. You will install devices, terminate, troubleshoot, test, and build out communication rooms.

Daily duties include working in a team environment and using schematic designs and supporting manuals. As a team, we support a safety‑minded culture on all customer sites. In this role you will be responsible for installing structured wiring for a variety of low‑voltage systems, including Nurse Call, Teledata, Intercom, and AV. Responsibilities include pulling structure wiring on ladders and lifts, installing and terminating devices, troubleshooting, testing, documenting installations, building out communication rooms, and interpreting schematic drawings and jobsite specifications.

You must report job progress and maintain target completion dates, lead your team, and work with the Field Supervisor to maintain safe work practices.

• Experience installing and wiring some of these systems:
  Tele Data, access control, CCTV, Audio/Video, Nurse Call, Intercom.
• Solid construction skills and understanding of system plans.
• Solid understanding of blueprints, design drawings including wiring and labeling methods, system wiring, wiring methods, cut sheets, wiring schematics, and cable support installation (J‑Hook, Raceway, Conduit, Cable Support).
• Very familiar with basic blueprints, schematics, manuals, and other specifications to determine installation procedures unassisted, may require assistance with more complex specifications.
• Strong customer focus and ability to work under pressure; ability to maintain awareness of and seek to meet the needs and wants of the customer without being prompted.
• Solid mechanical and electrical aptitude (e.g., work with a variety of hand and power tools such as drill, screwdriver, wire stripper, hacksaw, crimper) and ability to read blueprints and drawings; solid math skills (calculating area, velocity, resistance, voltage, etc.).

• Proficient construction skills and understanding of system plans.
• Excellent understanding of blueprints, design drawings including wiring and labeling methods, system wiring, wiring methods, and cable support installation (J‑Hook, Raceway, Conduit, Cable Support).
