Cable Technician - Level 2

Description

Interpret Cable Maps & Labels:
Accurately read and understand cable maps, labeling systems, and documentation to ensure proper routing and installation.

Rack & Stack Equipment:
Install, secure, and organize network and server equipment within racks and cabinets according to industry and site standards.

Fiber Installation:
Pull, route, and stage fiber trunks (including 144count and 288count bundles), as well as install and manage patch cords for connectivity.

Cable Dressing & Pathway Management:
Properly dress and secure cabling to match the designated pathway type, such as basket tray or fiber runner systems, ensuring clean, organized, and standards-compliant installations.

• 6+ months of experience in data center or commercial cabling
• Experience with structured cabling and fiber installation
• Ability to follow technical documentation and labeling standards
• Familiarity with data center or telecommunications environments is a plus
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship

This is a Contract position based out of Chantilly, VA.

• Pay range: $25.00 - $27.00/hr
