Overview
Vision Technologies is seeking experienced, self‑starting fiber optic technicians for a large‑scale data center project in Northern Virginia. The role focuses on pulling, routing, installing, testing, and troubleshooting fiber and associated cabling within hyperscaler data centers.
Project timeline: initially planned for mid‑April, the project has been delayed to late‑April due to site readiness and material issues.
Responsibilities (Entry Level Technician)- Pull and route fiber throughout the data center
- Assemble, stack, and drill racks
- Scan, label, and port equipment
- Perform general installation tasks as directed by experienced technicians
- Pull and route fiber, including testing and troubleshooting with OTDR/Fluke equipment
- Plan, delegate, and execute work assignments
- Scan, label, photograph, and port equipment
- Document, QC/QA, and create cut sheets
- Experience in physically demanding environments (construction, trades, military, or similar)
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Reliable attendance history
- Hands‑on electrical or military experience highly valued
- Ability to work on ladders and lifts
Ideal candidate profile: hard worker who wants to grow with an organization, honest, reliable, and possessing leadership potential. This will most likely be a long‑term contract with the possibility of transition to a full‑time employee when headcount allows.

Pay and BenefitsPay range: $20.00 – $30.00 per hour.
